The Playalong Backing Tracks are the ultimate practice accessory for the Pop Piano Book, and are now available as downloadable mp3 files! We chose 160 of the coolest music examples in the book, and recorded full-band backing tracks for each example (at three different style-specific tempos) so that you can play along with the band.
The product image shows the front and back covers of the Playalong Backing Tracks CD-Pack: however, instead of these audio CDs, you'll receive all of the equivalent mp3 audio files as a single download. Hover over the back cover image to zoom in on the audio details.
The Playalong Backing Tracks have the following great features:
- Full Band (bass, drums, and guitar/organ/synth) on left channel, and Piano/Keyboard on right channel. To play along with the band, just turn down the right channel.
- Each track is recorded at three different tempos (slow, medium, and fast). These tempos are style-specific: for example, each Pop/Rock track is recorded at 70, 95, and 120 beats per minute, whereas each R&B/Funk track is recorded at 50, 70, and 90 beats per minute.
- Each track and tempo is recorded in both straight and swing rhythmic styles where appropriate: for example, the Country tracks are recorded in both straight 8ths and swing 8ths, and the Funk tracks are recorded in both straight 16ths and swing 16ths.
- Almost all tracks are repeated twice, for a better play-along experience.
- 375 backing tracks in total for your enjoyment!
